Will 3.73 work better with CC306?
Will 3.73 work better with CC306?
Right now i have a 4.11 gears in the back, i am sittin here wondering how would my car react if i put some 3.73 gears in there. From what i can understand, 4.11s are pretty good if u want to launch really hard, but will kill your top end. Well since i am not launching hard 2.2-2.3 60 foots, arent i wasting my time with 4.11 gears? I do most of my racing on the interstate from 40 mph, so i am not using any of the advantages of the 4.11 gear
am i right or am i talkin out of my ***
Wont 3.73 make my car faster from a roll? How about the track? I think i might be able to get more tracion with 3.73 ??
i dont know...let me know what you think. All i know i top out 4th at around 120ish at 6500 rpms
GOin to 5th at 120 sucks!

For the dragstrip the 4.10s are probably optimal -you're most likely crossing the line right around peak power now. A dyno would confirm
3.73s will probably cost you a few mph in the 1/4. For the street, probably about the same with either gear though the 3.73s will keep you out of 5th a little longer. Kind of a trade off. If you plan on going much faster than 120 in the 1/4 in the future then you'll want some 3.73s.

A buddy ran some mild lt4 heas, 306 and 373s. Had a heck of a time launching. Was running 12.5s at 113. IM sure he would have been much faster with the 410s. You want to gear to your powerband. THe 410s will put you in the upper rpms where the cam is making power = good
