yes - same fitment issues as with a tee top or hard top,

You need the same offset, maybe some fender rolling and wheel well hammering, also will need and adjustable PHR

according to afswheels the 17x11 will not fit on the convertable due to less room in the well? but I see you have them. what offset do i want 56 and 50?

Look on The AFS web site and make sure you get the Grand Sport Offset. You will nedd a adj panhard rod too.
You may need to tap on the Inner fenderwell in one spot too.
I found out mine rubbed a little when I had 3 people in the car.

I compared the 17x11 AFS GS wheels on my coupe to the 17x11 "genuine GM" GS wheels on my buddies 97 30th SS Convertible, and there was no real difference in the wheel well size. If anything, his fit a little easier that mine. When we really started hammering the wheel wells for 28" 15W slicks, it became apparent that there was some extra reinforcement behind the inner fenders on the convert, but not enough to make a difference with 17x11's and 315/35's.
