Wifes Impala stalling on turns.
Wifes Impala stalling on turns.
Any idea what this can be. We are having a baby in a few weeks and I really want to get this fixed before the baby comes. It stalled on me 3 times in the last 3 days making a right turn. I brought it to my local shop and they can't find anything wrong with it. Also warm starts are getting to be a real problem. The car just does not want to start after it has been driving a while. Its a 2000 Impala LS. It has the 3800 series motor I believe. Any help would be great. My wife wont be able to steer the car if it stalls when she is driving do to the power steering cutting out. Also when it stalls if I throw it in neutral and touch the key she starts right up with no problem at all. Thanks
Re: Wifes Impala stalling on turns.
sounds like the engine isnt getting any fuel when going around turns
also, search for "hard warm starts" here in lt1 tech
i know there was a reason for this and it would apply just the same to your impala (i just can't remember it)
definately sounds like something needs to be replaced in the fuel system though

Re: Wifes Impala stalling on turns.
The same thing used to happen in my camaro a couple of years ago. It was battery related. Check to make sure the battery isnt moving around and also check your battery connections. Mine did it untill I replaced the battery.
