Thumbs down wierd thing happening (car "bucking")

So i finally figured out what was causing my misfire and it was a bad cap and rotor. Car ran fine last night after I replaced those. On my way to work this morning the car ran fine. Go to lunch on my way back after being stopped at a red light I'm in first gear get to 3k rpm and the engine bucks drops to 2k rpm and it totally feels like the car hit a brick wall and then just accelerates fine after that. Did the same thing on my way back home. It is a gut wrenching feeling when the car does that too. Anyone know what could be causing this problem? Something to do with the new opti, cap, or rotor?

car runs fine in every other gear, accelerates fine under WOT (had to test it out). Scooted past a SLK 32 AMG lol. It is just wierd it is doing this. I mean it's like the engine just wants to sieze and drop out of the engine bay it's hard to describe but thats almost what it feels like when it does that
