I was going to get hooker LT's, but we are moving into our first house (owned) in Jan. and have a lot of bills that need to be taken care of between now and then. The car needs headers by then as well. So I can drive it over there.

Some people call them mid-lengths, but my vote is for MAC's.... Great fit, GREAT plug access (compared to stock), lower price than some others.

I ran SLP shorties for a year and junked em.. they leaked constantly at the Y to the cats, and the bolts on the heads kept loosening themselves, and with a verry verry minimal power gain it wasnt worth it so i went LT..

IMO dont wate your money on shorties, might as well save up and get LT's

Try for the LTs, if not go with the MACs, no complaints here.

He said he can't afford the LT's...but then again the price difference between the shorties and long tubes isn't really enough to assist in the paying of too many bills...

Let's see... Hooker LT's uncoated for $359, coated for $559, or you could get the SLP shorties uncoated for $627.50 or coated for $$782.50.

I don't see how he is saving money going with the SLP shorties, or any shorties for that matter. (I used SLP as an example, because that seems to be what everyone is telling him to get.)

As the former owner of single cat style Mac's, Dual Cat SLP's, and Currently Hooker long tubes.........

I vote for Single cat Mac headers if $$$ and perfromance are both important to you. My Macs were easy to install, NEVER LEAKED ...NEVER.. and performed great!

SLP's for Dual cat LT-1s.........SUCK,SUCK,SUCK. They leak everywere and are aPITA to install. They rub into the heater hoses and melted them and plug access is horrible.

Hooker LTs...Well waht can you say. Great fit, Good plug access, Perform great but cost a little extra $$$$ by the time its all said and done.

$100 for a custom Y-Pipe and $30 for O2 sims... Still cheaper.
