Why won't my rear window defrost stay on longer than 30 secs?

i went ahead and replaced the breaker with a fuse and it seems to be alright...im not sure if it is SAFE tho

Is the stock breaker 30 amps? I'm assuming it is, but this isn't something you want to assume with.

Yes, if you pop the lid off and look at all the fuses/breakers.....you can see that it says 30A on the defrost/seat breaker

It is as safe as a breaker, it is just that if the fuse blows you have to replace it. If the breaker trips, you just wait for it to reset when it cools.

Sometimes a new breaker can fix it, but most people experience that it does not.
