Why is this one hose so hard to find?

It connect to the throttle body, i don't even know what its called. I can't find it ANYWHERE!!!! ughhh.... If anyone could help me i would be so thankful.

It's part of the cold air intake on the 1994 z28, one end connects to the throttle body, the other to the mass air flow sensor and then on down to the air filter and such.

I've searched all over Vancouver and Calgary, craigslist, wreckers, GM wants me to buy the whole cold air intake for 500 bucks just to get that one piece i need, i don't need the whole thing i told them, but they don't sell it like that they said to me.

My first one was wrecked completely, my 2nd one was my grandpa improperly putting it on the throttle body with a flat head and before i had a chance to stop him it ripped right in front of me, and i was like noooooooooooooooooo!

As you can see this has been a very frustrating part for me to find. I'd assume it needs to be completely sealed as unfiltered air could get through i would imagine.

The intake elbow? They are a dime a dozen here on the forums. You can even buy a metal aftermarket elbow like the one Trick Flow makes.

GM still sells the factory part. The "1LE" version is simpler. Shoebox has the part #:

1993-1994 1LE intake elbow - (no vent hole for opti) - 25147210

go to:

http://gmpartsdirect.com/

enter the part # in "search". It's about $60 + shipping, which is often a bit on the high side.

Yes that's it! How do I get my hands on one? I seriously can't find it in Western Canada. GM wants me to buy the whole cold air intake just for the intake elbow for 500 bucks as i said in my post.

Edit: just saw the post above. I'm gonna check it out right now. Thanks a lot guys. I had posted somewhere else on the forums years ago about the project me and my dad worked on since 2005, it's now being driven but still needs to be painted. Pretty much finished now.

That is the one! Thanks a lot! I am so relieved right now. Who needs a hot tub when you got the part that you were looking for eh?

I can't believe you couldn't find it. If gmpartsdirect sells it, any GM dealer should be able to sell it to you, albeit at a ridiculous price. There are aftermarket performance parts dealers that also sell the factory GM part for decent discounts.
