Why my driver side window wont raise up?? Help?

Why my driver side window wont raise up?? Help?

whats up guys..well this afternoon i get in my z28 and i start to raise down the windows of course because it was hot as hell..well the passenger side did but the driver side didnt want to all the way..it was stuck in a certain spot so i gave it alittle push and it went down..and hasnt been up since!!.it makes no noise what soever when i push the button...it sounds like the motor on it went out..has anyone had this happen to em?..what would i need to fix this?..thanks..oh btw its a 96 z28

Don't know exactly what you need to fix it, but f-body windows are well known for having problems. The motor isn't strong enough for a window that big, plus our windows have a "curve" in them to blend with the body. I've never had problems with the window going down, but raising them is a different issue, they usually need a rest, or I have to pull up on them. Other than that, it's a very common problem.

If the motor is out its not too bad too change if you don,t mind drilling some holes in the door to access the rivets holding in the window motor.

i usually have resisitance in mine when the car is off, but when the car is running, they go up with ease, just not too fast
