my car gets hot while driving and pushes all the coolent out of the overflow tank, i just put a hypertech 160 in and had it reprogramed! wtf! it dont get in to the red but it gets right below it, when it should be running cooler, cause of the hyper tech and programing!

 

Did you bleed the cooling system corectly? (search for how to do it)

did u remove the air damn in the front of your car? (kinda large flat plastic wall looking thing under the front of the car)

 

yes i removed it a long time ago!

 

Put it all back in. And if you took out all the other plastic pieces around the A/c condenser and radiator, put those back in. The cooling system is designed to work around them.

 

and also try to flush your cooling system

 

ok today i checked my cap the seal looked all there and in good shape. also when i am ideling it does fine fans come on and everything but one i start driving it gets way above half way. and it seems like the faster i go the hotter it starts getting! oh ya i also bleed my l;ines too, but still getting hot, WTF!!!!!!!

 

You need to put the radiator air dam back on so it will scoop up the air to feed through your cooling system.
Without the dam air won't flow through the system which is why your car gets hotter as you drive it.
The air passing under the car almost creates a vaccuum without the dam.
At idle the fans suck air through the system.
I just went through this with my car.
Also check to see if your condenser is plugged up with crud.
I cleaned mine out and it was better but today I replaced it with a new one I got on Ebay for 120.00 shipped.
Now my air works as it should.
If you don't have the dam anymore it's only about 33.00
list. I ordered one on friday at a trade price of 25.00.
I'm getting it by tuesday and that should take care of my heat problem.
The trans gets just as hot or hotter than the engine.
I have a trans temp guage and was more worried about my A4 running at 210-220.

 

Put the air damn back on at one. It's there for the express reason of gettingair into the radiator during driving. without it you are NOT getting air through the radiator.
