95+ Opti SHAFT question ( not the dowel)

I want to use a 95+ Opti on a 94 camshaft. I HAVE THE CORRECT DOWEL FOR THIS. BUT the opti center shaft is too long. Is it possible to cut down the opti shaft that has the o rings on it?

Thanks

I believe you will have to swap timing covers.

Re: 95+ Opti SHAFT question ( not the dowel)

The shaft is too long because the hole in the front of the pre 1995 cam is too short. You have to swap cams to use the vented opti. That's an essential step in swapping to a vented opti.
