i have a all forged 383 11.3 c.r with cc306 1.6rr 30psi injectors 58mm t.b long tube headers off road y, cut out, msd 6a,tci3500 stall 3.73, stock heads with 2.00-1.56 manley valves, and gasket matched, i wanted high 11s but car doesnt feel like 11sec car? i should be able to trap 116?

 

only way to know is to take it to the track
be sure to get some nice drag radials such as M/T ET Streets, BFGs, or Nittos

 

some dyno shops do simulated 1/4 mile passes
I know of one local one that does, you may want to try that... My car feels the same way like a slug

 

how long have u had the motor and such done? I know that after you drive something for a while, you begin to get used to its speed, and it then feels like a slug to you.

 

the motor has 400miles on it, my old setup went 12.90s, cam only and the new motor feels alot stronger but i was messing around and ran my friends cam only lt1, from a 50 and only beat him by about 3 cars??

 

i just thought i would have pulled harder??

 

i know of a few ppl with 500hp+ cars, not all fbodies... and to them all they feel slow

seriosly dude your car will run 11.s
your car imo should be CRAZY in the eighth mile there is so much tourque there
and when i rode in it last night the power in it felt very linier and i think that is why think it feels slow
ill bet once you put a few more miles on it and take it to the track with some traction you will be happy with your times (at least for a week or two)

 

As mentioned above, only track times will tell. It's real easy to get used to the new found power.

Did you get it dyno tuned?

 

it'll only run 11's if you have sticky tires and correct suspension though, remember that. My friend has a LS1 that dynos around 500RWHP, and hes running 12s because he doesnt have sticky tires or suspension and is spinning almost the whole way

 

yeah im running m/t ets, and its got a madz tune,

 

the thing is there is no reason it shouldnt run 11s there so many cars with stock suspension running 11s with good tires, cam only cars are traping 110, so i should be better than that,my engine was made off of golens 480 hp 383 only thing is my heads mite not flow as well, only the track will tell.
