Why does my RPM climb to 1700 when i start it????
Why does my RPM climb to 1700 when i start it????
it goes up and then comes down slowly. it's annoying because if I'm in a hurry I have to wait till the normal idle kicks in after maybe 10-15 seconds... it's only when I first start the car. I'm showing ~20 in hg on the boost gauge at idle so I'm pretty sure there are no air leaks. What could cause that? It happened only after my blower/obdI. it's like the throttle is open...
I was thinking maybe the IAC is stuck? Or something i don't know, how would I check it???

My car starts up real fast... I always prime the engine and I have a cvr protorque so its not that. What could this be????? It only happened after I installed the blower and the OBDI computer.
Do we have any common mods that could be causing this problem???

I wait 10-15 seconds when i start my car the first time in the day just to let it warm up. then I drive it under 2k until the oil pressure goes down and the coolant temp is up to 160 or 170 and the rear and tranny are warmed up. To let your car sit every time you start it is useless, it is easier for it to warm up under light driving.
