it seems as though if i apply brakes lightly it won't pull, but if i put it moderately to hard to stop at a stoplight it'll pull hard.
collapsed brake line? would this be caused by hanging the caliper from the brake line while working on it? i didn't do this, but the mechanic did

More than likely it's the easiet culprit. The darn 20$ caliper. A new brake line is expensive, and makes no sense unless it's damaged. My 89 Camaro started pulling left under med-hevy braking, the same exact gripe, and it was the caliper. Took 20 min. to change.
