Why does my alternator bracket keep breaking!?!
well if it suppose to have a brace on there, i never seen it when i bought the car.
Does anyone have a picture by chance that can show me what brace you guys are talking about? i would appreciate it a lot. also where would i be able to get this part at?

well i ordered that support bracket today at the dealership so i will try that out. As far as the alternator bracket the dealership is also covering that under part warranty since i just bought it about 3 weeks ago. i hope this will cure it from breaking again

yeah you need to atleast run the bracket off the intake to stabalize the alternator. If you just bolt the alternator to those 2 ears of the aluminum bracket up front then it will break. You can ditch the one going to the exhaust but you have to keep the one to the intake. Put that baby back on there and you will have no more problems!
i just got that brace from the intake to the alternator today. Now the bracket looks more secure with that piece on. Thanks for the help and pictures guys, now hopefully this will be the last time!! LOL
