May not have taken it to another shop ... Not many people are that persistant to take it right back. If it failed, there is a good change the garage would have taken it out, to get it hot, and re test it. A hot cat functiosn better than a cold one.

Dont get a PCM from them. Drive it home. You can get one from MadZ28 for like $150 shipped to your front door. And with a custom tune, I think it is only another 100 bucks. He can program it for cooler temps to turn the fan on, a little power tuning from leaning out the WOT air fuel ratio, alot of other things too if you had the money to mod now and get a thermostat and stuff, etc. If you need a new computer, and have the money, it would be worth the extra $100 bucks to get a custom tune ... And, ask him before you do it, but you may be bale to get a tune for headers, and such, like a full bolt on tune, and run it like that in the mean time even until you get the headers and stuff. The only real problem i think you would run into is with the fans and tehrmo without having them. Send Ion a email, see what they can do for you ...

Its not a chip. Its the whole computer. about a 8" x 6" x 4" deep box. Four large plug in ports. sits in the very back of the engine compartment by the passengers side right on the firewall. unfortunately, I do not think the madz28 guys have what I would need based on the pics on their site.
If these guys do have the actual computer or if anyone knows where I can get a computer for a good price I would definitely appreciate it.

They do sell actual PCM's the 8X4X6 thing your talking about. Email Ion. I just read it on his site a few days ago that he has used PCM's with a stock tune for like 150$. Add a custom tune for another 100$. Your looking at 250$, about 10 horses, and about 10 minutes to install it.
