why change to OBDI??

I have long tube headers, no cats, hot cam, ported heads, etc. What would the advantage to converting to OBDI be for me? Any advice would be great! Thanks!

basically people convert to OBD1 because it's easier to tune.....alot less sensors than OBD2. I wouldn't bother though.....anything can be programmed out.

I guess I dont want to lose any performance having an OBDII in my 97 but I'd sure like to keep it in there and not have to buy another PCM. Thanks for the advice!!

ANYONE ELSE????

Like previously mentioned, easier and cheaper to reprogram the OBD-I, I have also heard that the way OBD-I fires the injectors is different and that results in about 5-7hp. Don't know if true or not, but after I switched to OBD-I, my car runs like a champ.

well for one thing the cost to tune obdii is almost the price of converting to obdi and more can people and places can tune obdi systems.
