why is this

why is there a blue light coming from the side of my coil. my msd one did it so i put my stock one back on and it did it worse . should it be doing this or are they both bad

I wouldn't say they were bad, but it's arcing, which means the spark is jumping to ground (chassis) somehow. You've got a loose connection or damaged plug wire somewhere 'bouts.

Either you are not putting the connection on tight enough, or the boot might be damaged... Change the coil wire and see if that is it.....

do you think this is why i have a hesitation above 4500 . if it is it started after i put my headers on . ill have to check these tomorrow when i get up

I think that would make sense. When my coil wire went out on mine, it wouldn't start half the time.
