Who's gonna be the Edelbrock intake Guinea pig?

Just curious? Maybe this has already been talked about. If so please accept my opologies in advance. I noticed that Summit Racing has them in their catalog now and the prices look pretty good. I'm sure this will effect the LT4 market pretty heavily. Anyway, I'd kinda like to see and hear some results from someone. I don't think it's a bad deal if it yields pretty good power and it'll prolly be even better in ported form.

I think a couple people on here have purchased them already. I'm sure they'll post their feedback sooner or later.

If they ever ship the LT1, (Summit), I plan to test on an engine dyno comparing a sorta stock GM LT1 intake manifold to the air gap manifold. I expect no power changes. It is nice though to have something brand new for the LT1/LT4 market.

The testing won't be soon but maybe in a few months.

It supposed to ship out 3/30. Anyone else selling them??

As w/ most items like this, I wonder if it has ANY fitment issues.

It says under the LT4 Application:

"Application Notes: May require minor cylinder head porting."

I wonder if that means for additional HP, or fitment issues w/ the LT4 heads.

Sounds good Karl, Glad to hear from you. I was unaware that you hung out here. How the engine business?

Send me the money for one and I will gladly test an intake for you

There are a few people on another forum who have recently posted pictures of their new Edelbrock LT4 manifold. They were just shipped out to them this week. It look like there is still a small amount of gasket matching that needs to be done.

Hey James, Business is good. Did you know I do my dyno testing over in Nanjemoy MD? (closer to you in VA). I'm working with McKeown Motorsports with many things like custom pistons and engine dyno. That's where I'll be doing lots of testing in the near future.

I just recieved my LT1 version last week from Jegs. I bolted it on my engine but it is still on the engine stand. It should be going in this weekend. Mine came powdercoated in LT4 red. I was expecting to come plain cast. But it does look good on the engine. If someone can tell me how I can post a pic of it.

Take some pictures and store it on an online storage server like Photobucket. Then in your post, click on the insert image box (the box with the mountain and sun) and enter the URL for the picture that is being stored on the online service. Then you are good to go. I'm curious to see pictures of this.

wow. That's quite a beautiful looking engine. Looks great with that new Intake. Seems to have much longer runners then the stock lt1 manifolds.
