Who is running a billet material cam with a factory oil pump drive gear?

Who is running a billet material cam with a factory oil pump drive gear?
I ordered a comp cam billet material (09), can I use the factory oil pump drive gear with this cam? I know that they recommend a bronze gear, but no one makes one for a Lt1! Iam going to order a new GM steel gear, and try it with my new cam. Is there anyone out there running their factory oil drive with your billet cam with no problems?
