I know there's some talented guys who are doing custom LT1 cams, and if you have a set of heads to support it, it's very possible. Not so much R&D really as just a well matched cam to a set of good overall heads.

yes..there are still guys doing development for our cars. One of them being thunder racing. Its not near as big as their ls1 program..well...me and SAR2k are basically carrying the flag there...
. Steve is working on a set of heads/intake to change out on my car. Going to a gm lt4 setup(not AFRs). I know that steves setup that he had made 450ish rwhp with stock bottom end and went 11.2s and still needed some changes to maximize the setup. I know that car had 10s in it. I'm running what is in the sig... My combo is more than the motor..its the full combination that makes my car run what it does. A motor putting out good power, gears to optimize that power output, suspension to HOOK that power, Clutch to hold that power, and the list just goes on and on. You don't just throw a car to gether and run fast out of the gate. Its take some time to get it set up like it should be. I think my car as it sits had 10.7s at 127 in it...but we will never know as by the time the weather gets back to normal a whole new setup will be on it.
wnat to talk to someone that is still developing the lt1s. Call Steve at thunder racing ... His heads will be put to the test soon and I'm very happy with what we see so far. To me..dyno numbers and flow numbers are fun to talk about..but the proof is at the track.
