I believe the stockers can only reasonably be bored out from the 48 to a 52 (which is more than adequate for all but really big mods).
Anyway, there are a couple of guys on here who can do that. I merely picked up an used cheap 48 and sent the core into AS&M and got one of their rebuilt 48 to 52 TBs complete with Air Foil and a nice polished plate with the AS&M logo. It was plug and play and I'm pleased with the quality.
Cost a couple hundred with the core. Don't know whether they still offer it, but worth a try if you want a nice 52MM TB. If you go with a 54 or 58, they have to use a brand new forged TB and it would cost you 2-3 times as much as the modded 48s. JMHO
