i wouldnt says AI cars are faster all the time.
Lol the Lloyd heads are for a buddy. I've been thinking about selling my car and getting an LS1 TA. My buddy wants my Ai heads bad. .

Re: Who here can port heads??

No it's because I spend weeks on the phone with the guy prior to sending him $1300 for a fully assembled set of ported LT1 castings. I never said AI heads were the same as Lloyd's heads. Please quote me where I said that

I've never personally seen a set of AI heads, but is it necessary to have literally seen them in order to speak on them? I've simply said that, for hundreds less, someone can go with Lloyd's heads, fully assembled and ready to bolt on. His numbers have been proven again and again at the dyno and the track. Where else can you get a set of ported heads AND a custom cam that'll put you at 410+rwhp for less than $1700? Certainly not AI, and I do know that for a fact jackass.

I actually said that AI's heads are slightly better than Lloyd's. Someone can't read for $hit.

This debate between Lloyd's heads and AI heads could actually be helping and answering some of his questions.

You never said it directly but you imply it right here

Also Peak numbers aren't everything, either Jackass. The diff in quality alone is a reason to go to Ai. You do get what you pay for. 97Z-M6 is right both are good heads. In my personal opinion Ai stuff is much better quality and will perform better. To the original poster you might want to ignore what dmoor says until he has some first hand experience with this stuff on his own car.

I agree. I've never talked to Lloyd, but his numbers do speak for themselves. My dealings with AI were nothing short of stellar, and would do business with them in a heartbeat. Phil knows his stuff, and I can recommend AI with confidence.

Good response from someone who has nothing better to say.

In conclusion, AI heads are slightly better than Lloyd's heads, but you're paying an extra $500-$600 difference for what, prettier heads? Talk to Z95m6 next time you want to make a lamp or table out of pretty ported LT1 castings. If you want the best bang for the buck, e-mail Lloyd Elliott:

I'm done with this tool.

Re: Who here can port heads??

i will honestly say htis if i had a set of AFRs i would take them to AI because he has more experiance with them. but for the average person on this board using stock cast. either are good.

Back to the orginal poster...

What part of ohio are you from? I know a few local places in southwestern ohio that will treat you right and do a great job if you dont want to send stuff out.

Ive delt with LE (over the phone, talked for about 45 min to me) and AI (phone and ordered ported AFRs from). I cannot possibly say anything negative about either. Phil and lloyd were both awesome.
