I think those are pretty nice flow numbers for LT1 heads and stock valves. Also these guys don't try to inflate their flow numbers with flow bench tricks.
ROFL. Yeah, no tricks there... Just complete bullsh*t exhaust numbers.

Sounds like Pro Performance Part II.

Phirrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....You're wanted for cleanup on aisle 3.... Phirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

Chances are the heads were flowed with a pipe on thats why the exhaust is that high.

Here is how they flow their heads..........well on the exhaust side. ..............TEA flows (28 inch of water, 3.9 inch bore) exhaust with a 1 3/4 diameter pipe which should give a more realistic result. I don't know how Absolute flows their stuff. Ask what pressure, what bore etc. Ask Absolute to flow their stuff with a pipe and see what the reply is. Per GM heads should be flowed with intake in place and a pipe on exhaust. Having a pipe in place on exhaust increases the flow.

What am I missing here? What's up with flowing heads using a 3.9" bore knowing that the bore is never less than 4"!

I didn't see the bore size on tea's site, but this is straight from there site:

Intake flowed with clay radius entry
Exhaust flowed with 1 7/8" x 5" straight pipe

Not sure how much it skews numbers but they claim 233 @ 600 on the exhaust!!!! WOW! I always thought the trick flows my friend has for his stang flowed really well on the exhaust. Guess I can tell him to drop the numbers by what, 30 or more cfm? There is no way their flow bench could be that far off, without fudging some numbers is there?

TEA flows LS1 heads with a 3.9 bore @28
TEA flows with a pipe on exhaust

TEA uses the 3.9 bore because it's the stock bore for the LS1

On LT1 and stuff with a 4.0 bore TEA uses a 4.0 bore.

I'm sure about that. I have TEA's on my LS1 T/A. For what I spent I'm happy with the results.418rwhp @ 5,900 rpm

On a side note, did any of the folks in this thread dyno their TEA headed LT1's? I would like to know the numbers.

Someone posted "almost GTP flow #'s for $1000 less".

Out of the GTP and TEA heads that I have flowed, the TEA's have flowed better. The consistancy from port to port is MUCH better with the TEA's.

They look like nice heads to me.

TRICK95, if you're looking for good heads on a budget. talk to NightTrain66 (lloyd elliot) about having your heads ported NOBODY will beat his flow #'s for the money and for what you're goal is i'm sure he can some up with something that beats the sh*t out of paying for afr's. give him a call if ya got questions he's always been real good to answer my questions and help me decide what i want to do. i think his number is 972-617-5671.

91 rs I put my car on a dyno this past Wednesday kind of spur of the moment. The numbers were not real impressive at 333rwhp but Air Density was around 93% I think with better air 360 is attainable which is about where I should be. I know air was a factor because my friend ran his 02 Z06 on the same day which is stock except for exhaust and he dynod 338rwhp. His car dyno'd high 360's when new but in better air. My car also still has stock tune and throttle body. Heck maybe with a tune good air and a bigger throttle body I can get it up to 375 or 380 that would be nice. PS anyone have a conversion formula to correct HP for Ar Density?

joess sorry I did not reply sooner but my computer has been on the fritz. The torque was 342 and was solid from 3000rpm to 4700 then it began to fall off. Peak HP was at 5800 I did find some correction calculators and with horsepower and torque corrected to 100% Air Density it would have been approx. 360hp peak and 370 ftlb peak. I'll dyno the car again when the air gets better to see if my suspision is correct.

I am running TEA stage 3 heads, port matched intake, with the XE230 cam. I am getting a dyno tune done with Bryan Heter next week, and will post my results then. I think TEA puts out an awesome set of heads, and for the money I feel it will be hard to do better. My Heads flowd 275 intake and 240+ exhaust at .600. Regardless of flow #'s, check out some of the Mustang boys that run their heads, and you will see how they have several cars running at the top of their classes. Also, what I really like about TEA, is that they specialize in induction and valvetrain setups, and it shows in their products.

NJLT1SS Good luck with your dyno tuning hope you achieve your goal. Let us know how it turns out. Hope your air is better where your getting dyno tune than down here in Dallas!
