I watched Cody(Cody S.) from F-Bodies Unlimited pull 389rwhp/359rwtq and Jessie(RED91Z) pull 399rwhp/360rwtq both with TEA heads on TEA's Dynojet dyno. Cody was running a XE 230/236(with 1.6RRs I believe) and Jessie was running a cam that was 232°/242° @ .510/.525 112°LSA with 1.5RRs. Both are 350 cubes, Cody has stock bottom end, but Jessie's isn't. Good luck with the choice. You might talk to them at TEA and see what cam they recommend.

Not many people here run TEA heads. Although I don't know why. They seem to be a pretty good shop.

You might register and ask the same question with the KY F-Body guys via the link in my first post.

Anybody ever get any flow numbers from TEA heads? I hear some people say: "almost GTP flow numbers for a grand less". Well, exactly what is "almost GTP flow numbers for a grand less?

Thumbs up

I just got my car back together with a head and cam job. I had TEA do all my head work. Very nice people with good service. My heads were milled .030 due to some damage they received when I hurt a piston. They did a full CNC job, New Valve Job, afore mentioned deck work, new seals, and new springs for cam. I stayed with stock valves because I was on a budget. I also had them flow bench them all for less than 1000 dollars. All I did was send the heads to them and bolt them right back on the motor. Well I am sure you want the flow numbers so here they are:

Lift Intake Flow Exhaust Flow
.100 65.7 43.9
.200 140.4 104.6
.300 197.7 148.5
.400 235.2 181.1
.500 254.7 208
.550 255.0 217.8
.600 253.4 224.8

I think those are pretty nice flow numbers for LT1 heads and stock valves. Also these guys don't try to inflate their flow numbers with flow bench tricks. Brian did say that he can get in the 260 flow range with better valves. But again I was on a budget. I am running the CC Xtreme 502 can (in signature) should be at the dyno soon. Hoping for around 350-360HP

Hope this helps

Corey

I have stage 2 heads from TEA. Also the intake is matched ported....Everything else I have is in my sig. I haven't gotten a chance to dyno b/c I've had problems w/ the opti and o2's. Well i also need a little more tuning. Here are my flow numbers though:

Lift Int. Exh.
.100 69 46
.200 142 111
.300 200 165
.400 242 204
.500 270 229
.550 267 236
.600 267 243

I will post some dyno numbers as soon as I can.

The intake is good, but the exhaust is huge compared to what I'm used to seeing.

I'm pretty sure TEA flows the exhaust with a stack...that's why the exhaust numbers are so huge.

Still, they are AWESOME heads for the money. For just a little more than I paid for my GTP stage 1's I could have had TEA's, but I was in a big time crunch and it takes some time to get a set done at TEA.

But Brian Tooley has to be one of the nicest guys in the industry, and with years of experience working for Holley, he knows what he's doing.

Enlighten me folks...

If ya don't mind, roughly how much would a set of heads from them cost, just wanting 12-flats out of my '95 on DR's. Intend to install the LT4HC Kit and curious how much $ I'd save over purchasing a set of AFR's outright.

Thanks!

I believe it is $1500 for a full CNC port job with all new parts and larger valves..
