who has removed their EGR.. ?

who has removed their EGR.. ?

1.how did you remove it?
2.block off plate and where to get one or did you make one?
3.Effects on other parts of motor or computer codes?

1. Removed the EGR components. Solenoid, EGR tube (intake-exh. manifold), blocked off open holes with vacuum plugs which I believe 3/8". Also removed AIR at the same time.

2. SJM Manufacturing. The site address is posted in every single !EGR thread which emerges every other day.

3. OBDII cars set a code. I have an eternal SES light until I get it programmed out. OBDI cars dont set a code 95% of the time.

1. when i did headers, i removed the egr tube from the manifolds and trashed it, removed the EGR valve from the back of the intake manifold.
2. i made my block off plates (3 of them, one for the headers,and two for the intake manifold) from a sheet of steel with my dremel tool. i used RTV and new gaskets to make them seal.
3. it did not set my SES off in my obd2, although removing the air pump did. but it will throw a code.
