Angry Who has an oil leak ? ?

Well first off I use 10W-30 Castrol Synthetic oil, so I know thats not helping the leak situation. I think it might be coming from the oil pan. It only drips a few drops a day, nothing major, (or at least compared to my VW bug, hahahaha) Id say that I would lose 1 quart every 3 months. when i went to change my oil i was a quart low. I watch the **** now so its cool. I was wondering, does anyone else on here drip oil at the same rate or at all ? ? ? can it be fixed ? ... it minor so im not gonna bother I think ....

I drip about 2 drops a day, Its coming from the back of my intake. Going to have a few friends over and re seal it. That is a common leak in our motors.

I have an oil leak which I believe is coming from the WP driveshaft seal. I loose a quart every single week. Maybe I should fix it

I think I have the same problem rocmemphis mentioned but its not a quart, doesnt drip and is caked on pretty good. That must be why it doesnt leak! I'm not going to clean it off you can bet on that!!

Are you sure it's not the intake manifold leaking and running down the back of the engine to the oil pan?

You can reach behind the top of the engine and feel back there. If it comes back with oil, most likely you have an intake manifold leak. Just a thought.

my "oil" leak is from the rear diff seal. I need that replaced and get a t/a girdle.

can't find a good deal anywhere for one.

I found my crank seal was gone, so I bought a cam to go with my crank seal install.

The oil feed line to my supercharger got munged up pretty good while I was doing heads/cam. Started it up and I leaked about 1/2 a quart in 10 seconds. Doh!

There's a guy here that used to have a LT4 intake on his LT1....had to knock some tab off or something like that I believe. Don't know that it helped or not though.

I swear these dang things seem to leak right through the block! no need for the oil to go out the seals. my 95 hasnt had a problem yet, but Im in the middle of heads/cam swap, so let the leakin begin. lol

and I believe that the LT4 intake has raised ports, thats why your not "supposed" to use it. since the ports will not line up w/your heads. so w/o the heads, your defeating the purpose of replacing the intake. as in your prolly goin to lose power. unless your purpose is to have a nice shiny red intake.

If you want a red intake, just powdercoat the stock LT1 intake.
