Re: Who all has 100k+ on the clock????
i picked a 96 ss with a 152 k. bought with 142k and all original for $2,700. i just had the tranny completly rebuilt after loosing 3-4 gears. tranny guy said the tranny just had miles on it and appeard to be original. the best i ran out of 4 passes was a 13.4 with street tires with 15 psi in the rear tires worst was a 13.7 (first and only time i ever dragged)and the following mods:
completly stock lt1
3:73's
hypertech tuner
160 thermostat
gutted cats
borla adjustable(wide open)
granatelli MAF
k/n air filter
lt4 knock module
msd coil
new cap and rotor
accel high temp wires and ac delco platnum plugs
since tranny rebuild i had a 2000 stahl put in haven't returned to the track yet i also have a set of ported heads with a 3 angle vavle job off my buddy's golen stroker motor and pacesetter shorty's i want to install. i think i'm gonna get a cc304 cam with 1.6 rr with pcmforless tunning also. if i hit mid 12's with a daily driver i would be happy.

My car is over 100K, but still looks good enough to be Miss January 2006 in the new LS2.com calander.

149k here. Put the CC valve train mod's on at 105k. Had heads off at that time and the factory hone marks were still clearly visible on the gravity side of the cylinders. Thank you Mobil 1, which has been in her since day 1. I am the original owner. Put an opti cap and rotor kit in it around 95k just for preventive maintenance, not because it was acting up. Replaced the wp due to "hacking" the original for a meziere install, which I later regretted and put a stock replacement on afterall. Still runs as string as ever and burns no oil.

over 160k on my 96 impala SS
Stock opti, stock plug wires, stock heads, stock cam, never pulled the intake manifold. it ran 12.97@102.6 earlier this year weighing in over 4100#
A bunch of that "stock" stuff is going to be changed out soon though

before i took motor out, my 93z had 198k on it. after having a small 75 shot on the car for 3 years, the car still ran perfect. all stock except for exhaust and the nitrous, it still ran 13.8 on motor and 12.80's on the 75 shot. i miss it as a daily driver. not so street friendly anymore.
