Question White Smoke at WOT...and carbon deposits

Ok, when i first start it up in the morning when it is cold there are black deposits coming out of my exhaust and landing on my garage floor. I think it is carbon deposits. What could be causing this?

Also, at WOT there is some white smoke that comes out of my exhaust. It isnt that much but it is noticeable in the rearview mirror.

Any ideas?

White smoke usually means your burning some coolant. Is it cold outside when its doing this?

The carbon deposits are normal.

I had white smoke on the dyno when the RPMs got up there....was told by friends it is probably the valve seals. I just reached 100k miles so I figure that's right.

Yeah it is pretty cold outside. Probably around 35 degrees.

I really noticed it when it was below freezing.

White smoke when your driving I'm pretty sure if burning coolant. Do you know if your coolant level has dropped at all?

My coolant level is exactly the same. Also there doesnt seem to be any signs of a blown headgasket. No milky substance in the oil or coolant.

Do you think the smoke could just be a result of the cold weather. Sort of like when it is cold outside so white smoke comes out of most exhausts.

Im not sure, but im not to worried about it. My porsche would smoke at WOT due to excess fuel. So perhaps this is the same.
