White smoke

I JUST BOUGHT A 95 CAMARO COUPE ITS BEEN SITTING FOR ABOUT A YEAR. DROVE FINE TILL TODAY..STARTED OVER HEATING AND BLOWING COLD AIR. CHANGE THERMOSTAT..THEN THE FAN WOULDN'T COME ON BYPASSED HEAT SENSOR GOT THE FAN ON STILL OVER HEATING. I THINK ITS THE HEAD GASKET..BLOWING WHITE SMOKE FROM TAIL PIPE...DOES THIS SOUND RIGHT TO EVERYONE ELSE? WHATS THE BEST OPTION AT THIS POINT?

White smoke is usually the give away for water in the cylinder.
Check for compression also while you have the plugs out check for a very clean one. Did you check for water in the radiator? If it is going into your exhaust it would defiantly be low.

Re: White smoke

White smoke is usually one of two things. when the engine is cold, it will blow white smoke, like in winter time. thats prolly not your cause! the other thing is def. blown head gasket or cracked heads. water in the cylinder.
