wheres the fuel filter on this car, and is there any specific way to change it, or is it pretty much straight forward?

It's right in front of the rear drivers side wheel. It has a quick connect on one end and a threaded fitting on the other. Pretty easy to do. Just remember to relive the fuel pressure and wear eye protection.

This goes without saying, but make sure you use two wrenches on each end at the same time, and loosen the old one very carefully. Don't overtighten the new one when you install it.

This is easy but can be a little messy, the filter is on the drivers side near the rear tire attached to the back of the frame. First you'll need to crack open the filter with two wrenches and let the system bleed its self down, watch out for fuel spraying. Then all you gotta do is dis connect the side with nuts and press the clip in. Push it in and then push the clip in. That's it easy 10 minute job. Put something at under it first though and then go take a shower unless you like to smell like gas.

Yeah, and make sure it doesn't bleed down on your face. Wear eye protection!

By the way, gasoline tastes aweful. Even washing it down with chocolate milk didn't help.

crazy radical idea-
as a good rule of thumb-
dont open your mouth when gasoline is pouring on your face.

actualy i'm going to extend that to a rule of hand and go so far as to say - if gasoline is pouing on you, close or pluh any hole possible. I have yet to find an organ in my body that appreciates gasoline...

and even further- if there is a chance gasoline might pour from it, dont go under it

Your not a true gearhead until you know what gasoline tastes like.

Don't forget the most basic part-loosen the gas cap (it will relieve the pressure) BTW, a TRUE mechanic knows what it feels like to have grease in the eye
