Where do you guys think i will see more gains between the two choices. Edelbrock T.E.S. Headers, and matching edelbrock y-pipe. The headers are ceramic coated. Or Proform 1.6 roller rockers. Rockers are $189.99 + shipping. Headers are $440 + shipping. What do you guys think i should do between the two. ( no header fights, lol those choices only please) Thank guys

If the Edelbrocks are the shorties I wouldnt go with either. Id invest in a good set of Long tubes. You'll feel and notice more of a difference than the shorties or 1.6rr. But if must pick, Id say get the headers.

Exactly what he said. You can get the Jet hot's for just over $500 if you mention this board.

I wouldn't say that shorties make more power then LT's in the upper rpm range. Just because of 1 dyno graph. Generally LT's will make more power then shorties throughout most of the rpm range. But this is not always the case.

I also don't agree when everybody just says go with LT's and disregards everything else. I went with AS&M mids(not installed yet) because i heard they provide very good power and almost as much as LT's. There are also people putting out very good #'s that are useing shorties or mids.

But to answer your question camaroguy go with headers first. They will provide more gain because without headers your 1.6rr's won't give you as much gain. But i would go with some Macs if you looking for some shorties/mids in that price range. Or like the others said some Jet Hot lt's can be had for pretty cheap also.

Go with headers, but not Edelbrock. Horsepower TV did a Full Edelbrock Exhaust on a 95 LT1 and got a whopping 22 rwhp. Not much in my opinion for a catback and headers. I'd expect that number for a catback and CAI. Figure out what length of headers you want first, then decide on a brand. Good luck.

Go with headers, but go with LTs. What ever you do make sure you stay away from the Proforms, they are junk. They don't adjust well and are noisy as hell and they break easy. Sometime they even have to be grinded on get to get to work right.LTs and a Hooker y pipe and you'll be set.
