Where to tap into to install Autometer Temp gauge??
Re: Where to tap into to install Autometer Temp gauge??
Temperature of what? Oil, coolant, tranny?????? Electronic?
On an electronic install, the gauge needs its own sensor. You can't attach two gauges to a single resistance type sensor.... it would throw the readings of both gauges off. For coolant, you use the passenger side head port that is identical to the drivers side coolant temp port, but of course is located at the back, between #6 and #8.

What year is your car? A "signature" with the basic info.... year, trans, any major mods.... helps people answer your questions without guessing.
If you have a 94 or newer, there is a plugged port on the block, right above the oil filter that you can use for a mechanical oil pressure gauge or for an electronic sensor. If you have a 93, you need to find a different location, because that's where the factory pressure sending unit is on a 93.
