Where to start working on my LT1

Okey I know almost nothing about engines and want to eventually work on my car.. (i am afraid to even change the spark plugs and wires).. Where is a good place to start learning about the engine and car repair stuff for my camaro? (94 Z)? The only thing ive done is change the oil in my car.. Id like to be able to add mods and stuff like that to my car by myself and maybe even rebuild it when it comes time.. I guess its a certain pride thing when your driving on an engine you rebuilt.. kinda like my computer I made from scratch is my favorite.. I know there are alot of knowledgeable people on this board.. and hope someone can send me in the right direction. thanks

If you ever want to rebuild it, do it with someone that had rebuilt engines before. I've rebuilt 3 engines, and I'm not sure I would wanna do an LT1.

As far is bolt ons, if you are mecahnically competent, you should just be able to follow the instructions. Their usually not that hard, just might be a little time consuming at times.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

You should be ok then. With bolt ons you don't have to really worry about screwing things up, as long as your remember to put the other stuff back that you removed to do the bolt on. You should be fine.
