where to start with oil burning problem?

Correct me if I'm misunderstanding you here, but wouldn't those actually help vacuum with a larger more agressive cam???

You're correct. That's exactly why I opted to use them.

How well did they help out with your vacuum in relation to the size of the cam you put in???? This is just for curiousity's sake.

Used them a long time ago on a 327 and seemed to work well. The proof is in the longevity as well as the vacuum. As far as the newer engine. That is less than 2 years old, I never actually got the tird running since I ran out of money. Waiting on injectors, blower, tranny to handle the power as well as rear end. I'm not gona put it in till it has the blower. I won't start it till it has the tranny and rear to handle it.
