should i have it placed just before the i-pipe goes over the axle or right after it goes over the axle before it enters the muffler? i figured that placing it behind the axle bend befroe the muffler gives me the most backpressure (=low end torque) but would the sound differ any form being in front of the axle bend?

 

If you have cat(s), put it before them. The idea is to avoid any restrictions.

 

I put mine before the pipe goes over the axle, i was going to put it right before the muffler, but it looked a little too cramped up in there, and it might be more of a chore to uncap it

 

I'm going to have one installed in a couple of weeks.
I think I'll go with the CrackHedMat style - just before the muffler.
I like the idea of the sound coming from the back of the car and not underneath it.........

 

i put mine just before the axle bend, when i was doing the search that was the most popular place to put it. and it works great, and as for the sound coming from underneth the car really doesn't bother me, because all the people stare the same.

I removed my cat and I'm about to put it right there anybody think this is a bad idea???
