I would like to mount a transmission gauge in the area where my cigerette lighter is. I don't smoke so I'll just eliminate it all together! Is this possiable? If not where can I mount them and does anyone have some pic's they can show me?

Several manufacturers make gauge pods that mount to the A-pillar. You can get both a one or two gauge mount. I believe RK Sport also sells a panel that allows you to convert a 93 - 95 style cigarette lighter storage area to a gauge pod area.
