where to jack motor up from for oil pump replacement

where to jack motor up from for oil pump replacement

basically have no idea where to jack up my motor from in order to drop my oil pan and replace the pump. also how low does the oil pickup have to be in respect to the pan. thanks in advance for any help.

Use plastic Jack points behind each front wheel and put jackstands somewhere other than the k member, because you have to drop it also to get pan off.

I have always had luck with jacking up the motor with a block of wood between floor jack and crank hub (not the balancer) Once motor is up high enough place wood blocks between the motor mounts to support motor in place, dont rely on floor jack to keep motor in raised position because if something happens and motor falls you could loose a hand or finger.
