Where to go from here?

Well last year I took the motor out and did the following mods:
cc305,hardened pushrods, 1.6rr, rings and bearing in the bottom end, high pressure oil pump, everything in the valve train is new except for the valves.

Now the car is fast but I want a little more. I have been thinking possibly a 75 shot of nitrous but I don't know how good that will be on my engine? Any other mods you can suggest. I don't want to spend over $1000.

If its an auto how about a stall converter. or Gears 3:73 for an auto 4:10's for an 6 speed)

A good dyno tune.

I would hope you have headers and a good open cat back with a cut out.and a cold air intake.

IF you race at the track a good set of M/T drag radials

How about getting those heads ported...

Let us know what bolt ons you already have more info on the car and some more about what you want from the car

Nitrous provides a lot of "bang for the buck", especially if you're a drag racer. The risk is that you get greedy, keep bumping up the HP level until to break something. A good safe installation (fuel pressure safety switch, heater, window switch) will run you around $700 - $900 for parts. Also you have the cost to fill the bottle. Do a search in the nitrous section.

Thanks for the idea. Btw I have a m6 with hooker Lts, CAI and full exhaust. Im thinking some drag radials, and a really safe nitrous setup. Im just not sure how safe it really is on my engine and how the drag radials will be on the rear end.

A 75hp wet shot should not be a problem at all. As mentioned above you might get greedy and put larger pills, just make sure the fuel ystem is up to par.

Re: Where to go from here?

If you're aiming for a drag strip setup, the drag radials are only a minor improvement; a set of ET Streets will provide a lot more traction. Of course, with a M6, this improved traction is going to tax the stock rear. Acceleration is addictive; it's less painful to plan your power/drivetrain improvements than to react when things break.

Re: Where to go from here?

Im thinkin the 75 shot and with the price of nitrous ($8-$10 a pound) I wont be going any larger. The car is my daily driver so im not wanting to ruin the dirveability of it. I like the stock gearing but I should do some suspension mods aswell as power adders. What do you recommend for suspension upgrades? What are some fuel upgrades I should do to make the nitrous safe? I have a pcmforless tune so when I get nitrous should I go get a dyno tune? Thanks for the info!
