Where to get forged std bore pistons?

Looking for some that aren't low compression, but not having much luck. Does anybody know where to get some that aren't custom? Also needs to be for a 6" rod.

What's wrong with JE SRP pistons? They are aroun the $500 mark. Speed Pro is the cheapest I believe.

They don't make off the shelf standard bore high compression pistons though. If you can find them then post a link please.

A piston for a std. bore SBC must be the most common piston in the world. What are you looking for that you can't find? Maybe I am missing something??? Are you sure you need a std. bore though? Most of the time an engine is being rebuilt, the bores at least need to be cleaned up. Have you inspected and measured?

I looked and couldn't find any within a certain amount $$. I need a 383, 6" rod flat top std. bore forged piston and all I can find is oversized.

Rich,

Yes the block has been inspected, I just honed the block since it was extremely good condition and I'm running some srp low compression forged pistons right now, but am considering just doing a piston swap to up the compression for a n/a setup.

I've looked and looked, but I can't find a FORGED piston for standard bore, a 6" rod, and with high compression(wanting 11.0-11.8). I've found non forged pistons, but its not what I want. Also I don't want to take the block back to the machine shop since its in good condition still.

I think you are probably just looking at Internet sites. They typically don't list every part. I am not an advertiser here, or I could hook you up. Go directly to the piston manufacturer of choice and tell them what you want. You may pay a bit more than for a stocking piston though.
