Where to get a 96-97 SS?

Man these cars are hard to find! There are only a few on ebay, but they're all going for like 15,000+ !!! I just love the looks of these cars and they're my dream car. Anyone know where to get one? I've only seen one locally, but it wasn't for sale.

Check your local Auto Trader... that's how I found mine. That and the newspaper will be your best bets.

Good luck.

Hey I hope Im not sounding like a ricer! lol but if you like the looks of the SS why dont you just get a Z28 and put an SS hood on it? Would save you a few bucks, I think. lol Im getting one for my Z after I do my performance mods ofcourse! Oh yea some wheels and tires too!

I was lucky and had a friend that was selling his. He actually didn't need to sell it, but he knew that I wanted it so bad.

i know a guy here in north carolina selling a 1996 ss/6-speed for 7500.00

the guy hit a dear so he had to replace the hood with an aftermarket ss hood. It has 2000 chrome non-oem vette rims with brand new tires also 355 ci engine with 3k miles with a hotcam or cc306.

i can get you his number.

no im not looking to sell mine anytime soon...the 355 96 for 7500 sounds like it could be a good deal...i would have made the insurance company pay for an original hood though...thats something im worried about...when i insured my car they just wanted the vin...of course that says its a z28 so i hope my SS stuff is insured if the hood gets damaged they better not try and tell me i didnt thell them its a ss
