Where to find "PONTIAC" valve covers???
Where to find "PONTIAC" valve covers???
I thought I had seen before a set of PONTIAC valve covers that had raised letters on the top of them that said PONTIAC in like red or something. I don't care if they are Perimeter valve covers or centerbolt, but does anyone know wehre to purchase these? Or if they came factory on an old 60s or 70s car, that would work too.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Where to find "PONTIAC" valve covers???
My bad man. They will be going on my LT4 383 motor. But I don't care if they are perimeter valve covers, as I will just buy the conversion kit from Jegs to convert from centerbolt to perimeter.
Re: Where to find "PONTIAC" valve covers???
The LT4 is a Chevrolet engine. Even if you go to perimeter bolt, those valvecovers are also Chevy items.
It might be hard to find Chevy parts with "Pontiac" stamped on them.
This is a sore spot for many Firebird enthusiasts, that Pontiac stopped puting their own engines in them and instead used Chevy engines.
It is entirely possible someone somewhere was aware of this problem and makes Chevy valvecovers marked with Pontiac logos. Maybe somebody else knows of some?
