Where can i get my car scanned?

I have a 94 z28, and am wondering where i can get it scanned for codes. The ses light is on, and ive been trying to find my really bad miss and backfire for months now. I think the light came on when i unpluged the egr to see if that would help and it hasnt gone away now that its plugged in again. It comes on after the cars warm and been drivin about 10 minutes. I know i need a clutch but this backfire is pretty bad. You can see the rpms jump around at WOT and feel it breaking up. Ive changed everything but the EGR and a few other sensors. opti, wires and plugs were done a few months ago. Now i did, a coil, o2 sensors, 1le elbow, cleaned iac and throttle body. Any help would be awesome. I want my car back to having *****! For an lt1 anyway.

By the way i had recently used autorx for 1500 miles and hope it hasnt played a role in the demise of my motor. I also have a minor exhaust leak at the drivers manifold which im gonna fix and see what it does. Any other suggestions?

Autozone or Oreilly. AZ is cooler about it, but if you get on good terms with the guys at Oreilly, then they will scan the car for you.

Autozone only scanns OBDII. Ive never even heard of Oreily. I guess i have to just start calling shops.
