Where can I get an AC Delco 1218 Filter?

I know the model #'s changed, and I also saw them disappear from some stores I shop in, so where's the best place to get a filter these days?

Lots of parts stores carry AC Delco filters, and the PF1218 isn't one of the discontinued filters anyways. Or are you looking for a UPF1218 (the Ultraguard Gold)?

They did not discontinue the 1218 filter but the PF35 filter was discontinued.
I just got a 1218 at Autozone last weekend but they did not stock the PF35 anymore. Most stores that carry AC delco should still have the 1218 filter.

Hope that helps,
Claude

A lot, if not all, of those Ac Delco oil filters sold in retail stores are identical to the $1.97 Super Tech found at Wal-Mart.

ST5=PF1218 equiv.

I noticed that my pep boys didn't have them anymore, neither did the walmart where I got my jug of mobil-1. I'll have to check into Autozone. Thanks Guys!

Cool

Saw your post this morning.

Went out to Autozone to buyout their Castrol Syntec 0W 30 (Made in Germany) on buy five get one free promotion.

Looked for PF1218 and they had plenty of them.

Went to Pep Boys to see if they would match oil special. Didn't have oil in stock; but they had plenty of PF1218s there too.

This is the oil I'm running right now, hopefully you can find some in another Autozone. It's getting easier and easier to find up here now, hopefully it'll be more common in the US now that winter is coming and more 0w30 is moving off the shelves.

I'm running a very short 3000 mile interval on my first run, draining it and taking an oil sample for analysis, and then will be doing 6000 mile intervals with this oil. Based on the 5500 mile interval with this oil in my sister's car, it showed in analysis that this oil is very capable of longer drain intervals.
