SLP CAI and Trickflow elbow

I was trying to put on my new Trickflow intake elbow last night. It seems like it is too long to work with the SLP cold air setup I have. The CAI is too far to the center of the car. I tried to push it back to the passenger side, but no luck. Then I tried taking it out of the bracket that it sits in behind the headlights, and it still won't go over far enough.

The elbow seems like it's the right size for a 93 or something that doesn't have a MAF sensor in there.

Has anyone else had to cut the elbow down some? I am thinking that about 1/2" to 1" off the end nearest the MAF ought to do it.

In the meantime, I had to put the torn stocker back on, complete with the Herbal Essences bottle bottom as a donkey dong delete plug. Ugly...

Cool

It didn't fit on mine either without cutting. I traded my SLP CAI in for a AS&M CAI which made complete assemply fit without cutting. It has more flexible rubber tubing from chrome tube to MAF.

My 1LE stocker was bent at throttle body seal from SLP CAI too, not bad, but fit was too tight.

It seems alot here have cut the 1" off the TF elbow toward MAF to make it fit with CAI.

I like the fitment and look of the TF elbow with the AS&M CAI.

yes you have to cut about 1 1/2 inches off the maf side of the trick flow for it to work. It is like this because it was made to fit the stock cai. Which is a little bit shorter then the slp cai. It is sort of a pain that you have to do a little bit extra work but its not hard. But like jim said the 1le elbow doesn't really fit either. I know because i bought both of them and the 1le is harder to get on and it is all buched up on the maf side. The rubber goes inward which blocks the airflow. So i used the trickflow elbow.
