Where can i find a guide for head removal?
Where can i find a guide for head removal?
Any sites online with a guide on how to remove the heads? Fixing a headgasket, and have never done anything like this before. I feel confident about doing it though and would like to read up some online before I dive in. I couldn't find anything about removing the heads on shoebox's site.

Brent franker's site and I believe Shoebox's site both have guides. I know shoebox's site is shbox.com
There is nothing really to a head removal. It's a cam swap plus unbolting the headers then the head (a couple coolant lines and a couple grounds) but that's about it.

Yup any parts store will have it. They have cheap plastic ones and comparatively expensive metal ones. I suggest the metal ones. The plastic ones (especially the ones that are just the part that slips in, it looks like a little cylinder with a lip) sometimes don't do the trick. Some places sell a GM specific tool with two sizes on it, ours is the bigger one (5/8 I believe).
