Find Product 92580A110 or 7/16-20 grade B7 alloy steel (4140) 125,000 psi min tensile strenth.
You should be able to credit card order a chunk. Also look for good nuts like a grade 5 or 8. Those usually are available at Lowes.

That's funny that you put this cuz I checked on one by me today and they had everything I was looking for.

FWIW.... I got mine from a bolt company. (Called Austin Bolt Co)
They sold me a 3' threaded rod (grade 8) for around $7. I still have about 2' left if anyone wants it.
