Re: where to buy, stock timing chain
awesome. think ill be fine swapping timing chain only? also about lifters, on shoebox's site it has 96-97 hydraulic roller lifter for 21.05 a peice, but i dont see that being practical because a set is well over 300 bucks for stock replacement. that was PN-17120735
and then i noticed a roller lifter kit, PN-12371042 for 175 bucks. im a little confused about this. thanks

Re: where to buy, stock timing chain
Well there are 16 lifters. I'll look into it. You don't hear about too many stock lifters going bad. You would probably be fine with your stockers, especially with the Hotcam. That's just my $0.02 though. The final decision is yours.
That kit is a good price, since it has all 16 lifters, plus other goodies.

yea i was just checkin them out and some are like 500 bucks. would i get that kit for 175 then? i understand what your saying about keepign stock but im just talking if i do decide to change lifters to be on the safe side.
Re: where to buy, stock timing chain
yea, im feeling good about using stock crap, BUT obviously my car is different so might need to have something replcaed so i want to know what i MIGHT be getting into before i even buy anything to do the job. i feel thats the way to get things done right is have a plan for anythign that goes wrong or might happen. i hate crapping things up when i coulda taken a little more time and done it right, so im just planning for worst case scenario.
