Somehow when we were welding(stick welder) the subframe connectors onto my car, the handbrake cable got so hot that it burnt in half. We must not have had the ground cable secured well to the vehicle and somehow a lot of current made it’s way through the cable and fried it. It’s only the cable from the actual handbrake to the point where it connects to the other cables that split to each wheel.

Is the dealer the best place to buy a new one, or are there other options. Anyone know how much they cost.
