Thumbs up Where to buy lt1 edit and the cable?

Where is the best place to buy these? I have an older lap top that I would like to do the tunning myself in the future. Also, I know you tune with lt1 edit but does it work as a scan tool also? I have seen in some peoples cars a device that is mounted into the dash often in place of the vent just above/right of the steering wheel. What is that and what purpose does it serve? Thanks

Aaron

I would recommend you look at TunerCat and DataMaster before you buy LT1edit.
I have them all and there isn't much support with LT1edit nowadays.
Check out AKM for a complete rundown on the software and cables.

It's because everyone switched over to Tunercat. Why pay for a program that will do less and costs more, which is exactly what LT1 Edit is? The only place carputing still has any hold on is the OBD2 stuff, because TC hasn't put out the OBD2 stuff yet. But he's working on it. I expect to see it within the next 3-6 months, hopefully. Then no one will waste their time with the overpriced and overrated LS1/LT1 edit again.
