So i have decided to go the cheap route with my exaust. I am going to cut the whole catback off and go with a hollowed out cat and a bullet muffler. I am getting an exaust shop to make a pipe to dump the exhaust over the axle... So my question is easy. Where do i buy a bullet muffler and which one do i get cause i know there are different sizes... and yes, the louder and raspier the better. Cause i know that with a hollowed out cat it will sound like that. Thanks

Summit has em real cheap, that's where I got mine.

I bought mine from summit also. I got the 12 inch and they are LOUD!!!!!I also have the Jet hot long tubes and and a X-pipe. I bought the x-pipe from summit.

 

Why the gutted cat? Visual inspections? I got my first set of bullet mufflers from Jegs then got the second set from summit. Just to give them both a little of my service. Their both great companies. In your case get the longest 3in di bullet. Even the longest one gets loud over time. Still sounds great though.

 

I did a custom exhaust with an X pipe, no cats, and a pair of 12" 2 1/2" bullets.
